Best Door Entrance Light I have ever seen. Works perfectly. Lights up large area around the front of my Motor Home door. Motion Detector works flawlessly. Easy to install.
My wife was very happy with the light it put out. One of the ladies in the Rv camp I am at now is a permanent resident. She is a widow and sometimes gets home from work after dark. I installed one on her 5th wheel and she is extremely happy with it.

Easily would have been a great buy at twice the price.

Very Bright and Installs Easily. Outstanding product! I replaced the cheap little lite over the motorhome door that the manufactures burdens us with. This product installs easily, looks great and works fantasticvery bright!! It is a little bigger then what you think from the picture, but that’s a good thing. I would buy this product again.

WOW A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO I LOVE IT. Easy to install BUT, comes without a rear gasket to seal it to the surface….BUY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT ( except for the gasket)

    :

Perfect for my 12v solar shed project! I got this because I wanted to add lighting to the exterior of my backyard shed. There are very few 12v lights that have the following: Good reviews, actual support that when asked a question someone answers back, motion sensing, is NOT on all the time/or dusk-dawn light, and comes in a small package.
This item seems to meet all the required specs above so I was eager to try this. My shed is running off the grid in the sense that I have a 20watt solar panel, solar controller and about 6 UPS batteries running the interior led strip lights that I have (which are controlled by an RV on/off/dimmer switch). I wanted to add this fixture to the exterior so when I walk up to the shed at night, lights come on and or if the dogs are in the backyard when they walk by the shed it kicks on and we can see them (yard is fenced in).

I modified the unit in a couple ways. I added an external weather proof on/off switch so that way I can leave the inside master switch ON, and then if I want to manually shut off one or both lights or have one ON and one motion activated I can do so. (Note that when you take the exterior lens off in the center of the PCB board is a small hole, behind it is a small momentary button that when depressed switches the modes, but it would only be useful if you didn’t have access to the hardwire power source and you wanted to change modes, otherwise one wouldn’t use that little momentary button) I also painted the external housing so it blends in with the shed color. Black/white housing would have looked bad and stood out more, so I wanted it to be as seamless as possible. (Probably voided warranty but oh well)

These are bright. I was actually quite surprised at how bright ONE unit is let alone when both units turn on. I was expecting flashlight type dim light so I am pleasantly surprised by just how bright the light is. It’s pure white light, none of that bluish/yellow output.

With all the great things about it however let’s get to the areas of opportunity.
The single biggest problem I see is that there is no rear external seal. So whatever you are mounting it to one would have to caulk/silicone, which is fine however when or if you have to remove the unit can be a PITA… Strongly recommend the manufacture come up with a rear rubber gasket… there is already a recessed area in the back so it looks like it SHOULD have one and that fact that it doesn’t is annoying. I caulked all around it on my shed so there will be zero water coming in, but caulking around the motion sensor square nub at the bottom was a little bit of a pain. But at this price point a rear gasket should have been included.

Another minor annoyance is the lens gasket. I’m not sure if the plastic piece really creates a water tight seal so time will tell, but I had to use 4 small drops of rtv on the gasket so that it would stay in the groove. It was frustrating being in the air and trying to balance the gasket in the groove while trying to put the lens on… the gasket just kept falling down. Now it’s fine, but just keep it in mind.

Lastly is the size, yes this is small… overall not a bad thing. However the use of the LEDS are not utilized for such a big housing. Either shrink the housing down by about an inch, OR, make the LED panel larger. In this case I really feel there is a lot of wasted space IN the light fixture. Hopefully future revisions of this take note and maximize the LED panel and put more LEDS there. (this would actually be preferred, I’d want more LEDS in the future)

I’m undecided about the blinking LEDs. At night the blue/green LED is bright. Which is nice when I am on the deck I can see it, but it can be distracting. Plus part of me doesn’t like that only because that’s power that is being used (albeit a small amount, solar people have to be mindful of where parasitic drains are).

One other thing I wish there was a setting to adjust how long they could shut off/stay on/time of inactivity. I think that would make this extremely useful to “tweak” but, can’t have everything perfect I suppose….

I really like this unit, so for the above 3 things I only knocked off one star. I will update in a year to see how these lights are doing since they WILL be outside (though the roof covers them) they will still be exposed to rain, snow, wind, and lots of sun.

The motion sensor picks me up when I am at our fire pit which is at least 25’ away from the shed, which is awesome! I actually have to turn the adjustment down a tiny bit so they aren’t constantly turning on when we are out socializing.

I’ve attached pictures that show them. Hopefully it helps someone with their project!

EDIT: Added photos of it getting dark.. They are bright! You can see it from the street!

    EDIT 2: 7-19-2017
I’ve had this now installed on the shed for 9 months. They are still going strong. Lights up the back yard! Because we have a maple tree directly in front of the shed and I have yet to trim some of the bottom branches, when it gets really windy the branches WILL set off the motion detector and the lights will turn on/turn off/turn on…etc.

    :

Easy to install! Replaced existing fixture on RV…..easy to install….worked as advertised.

  14. 5 out of 5

    :

This RV porch light is awesome! Unlike the other LEDs we tried, this light is so bright we can actually see outside to find keys or use the grill at night. The motion detector allows us to return at any time without leaving the light on all day and advertising that our rig is empty. It also alerts us to uninvited visitors in our campsite at night. It was an easy install and is a clear upgrade from the factory unit we replaced. The really big thing about this little light is how RV LED Lites backs their product. Gregg Wilson goes out of his way to provide outstanding customer service. We can’t say enough about how satisfied we are with this light, and our experience with rvledlites.com!

  15. 5 out of 5

    :

Outstanding light. Make sure that you put the gasket in in the right direction. For some dumb reason I kept putting it in backwards.

    :

Great rv porch light, wish they made it in warm white rather than cool white, and I haven’t found an amber lens but it works great and is pretty cool….

    :

Pricey but works well. Would buy again. Motion detector works well, bright light.

  20. 5 out of 5

    :

Awesome motion detecting light. I replaced the light over the entry door to our RV, now I do not have to fumble around in the dark trying to unlock the door. It is a good security light as well.

    :

Five Stars. Good product, works well. Bright light!!

  22. 4 out of 5

    :

Not five stars only because the gasket seems a little flimsy. Considering the damage that can be caused from a leak over time the gasket is pretty important.

  23. 5 out of 5

    :

Perfect choice!! Light has just the right amount of illumination. Motion sensor easy to adjust and works great.

  24. 5 out of 5

    :

I installed these lights on my RV and they work perfectly. I replaced all of the traditional bulb type lights with these motion LED lights and they great.

I like it now but we will see what the longevity is. Very bright and I like the way it can be controlled either on/off or motion

Awesome i love having this & installed myself.

Super bright and efficient… Works great and is a theft deterrent with status LED light and motion sensing. This item modernizes any RV or camper it goes on. Super bright too. Great product even though the price is high. It’ll save money in the long run takes the heat and the cold of Utah so far… I never adjusted sensitivity and it works great!

  30. 5 out of 5

    :

Great Light!! Just spoke to Gregg about a few questions regarding the light. Very helpful and understanding. Recommended purchase!!

  31. 5 out of 5

    :

Light Works Perfectly!! Light works great and was easy to install, the only problem was I had to drill to new holes do to the new light holes did not line up with the old light holes. Adjusting the range area was very easy. It’s great when you come home in the evening.

  32. 5 out of 5

    :

I can see clear nowly. Needed better light at the door of my rv. This light gives a better quality light as well a large area.

  33. 5 out of 5

    :

    Mounted and working well.

  34. 5 out of 5

    :

Use a dab of silicone on each corner of gasket to hold a place. Nice kit!! Would be nice if you included a small roll of sealer..

    :

I ordered the MG 1000 and had misunderstanding about wiring, so I called the manufacturer. They were very prompt with help on how the wiring is installed. It’s very nice these days to find a company that is knowledgeable and cares for there customers after the sale.
